  15. <p>     DIED. Duncan Gibbins, 41, film producer, director and screenwriter;
  16. of burns; in Los Angeles. When his rented cottage was engulfed
  17. by one of the brush fires that swept Southern California last
  18. week, Gibbins, a British maker of B-films and music videos for
  19. the Eurythmics and Wham!, managed to escape. He was burned when
  20. he returned to the house to rescue his cat. The animal survived.
